Food Bank of the Rockies (FBR) is the largest private hunger-relief organization in Colorado. Located in Denver, the organization was founded in 1978 and has provided nearly 476 million meals to people in need since its opening. Today, FBR provides food and supplies to more than 800 hunger-relief programs in Northern Colorado, making an average of 121,000 meals per day available to seniors, children and families in need. A member of Feeding America, the 112-employee organization is able to provide 4 meals for every $1 that is donated to FBR.
On Friday, February 19, GCG’s Denver office sent a group of volunteers to Food Bank of the Rockies. Working alongside a team from Hewlett-Packard, the volunteers packed approximately 700 boxes of food for the senior population.
