The Great Lakes Regional Games is hosted by the Great Lakes Adaptive Sports Association (GLASA). Based in Lake Forest, IL, GLASA was founded in 1993 under a mission to support the development and well-being of physically or visually impaired children and adults. The motto of the non-profit organization is “Let No One Sit on the Sidelines,” reflecting their passion to empower physically challenged individuals with participation in recreational, fitness and competitive sports activities.
The Great Lakes Regional Games is a competition which serves as a qualifier for the Paralympics.
Primarily helping with the archery competition, the GCG team contributed to running the activities by keeping track of scores, chasing after stray arrows and making sure that every athlete was cheered on.
